Our school offers group and private Spanish classes with experienced teachers all year round. Classes are small and very personalized. We offer packages of 10 to 15 hours per week. You can also book less hours per week, if desired.
Our partner surf school will provide you with the skills to learn how to surf in Pichilemu.

Do you need a place to stay in Pichilemu? We work with a local hostal that offers private rooms and is located only a few steps from downtown Pichilemu, the ocean and all the attractions. We can also help with finding cabins near Infiernillo beach.

The Pichilemu Institute of Language Studies, PILS, offers accredited quality Spanish courses next to the beach in central Chile since 2005. We provide a welcoming and professional space for those looking to start, continue or further their Spanish language skills. We are open all year round and located in the heart of the scenic Central Chilean coastal community of Pichilemu. We also offer a English program for locals in the community.
Surf was great, the staff was excellent and the homestay was like a second family. All in all a great experience. In fact I left Pichilemu and Chile in January, 2009 only to find myself wishing I was back there. So in March I went back!
PILS is a language institute with a healthy learning environment, energetic instructors, and a strong “buena onda”. My instructor and I focused on past-tense verbs so that I could reach one of my goals of telling personal stories while in social situations. The two hour course allowed plenty of time to practice my new story telling skills while at the local empanada stand or while shopping at the fish market.
If you are staying in South America for a while and need some pointers on the basics to be able to talk to the locals there is no better place. PILS staff are friendly, approachable, and professional. After a weeks introduction I can understand much more of what the locals are saying and most importantly, join in their conversation. The proof is in the pudding!
